Obsolete Items on this Website

Return to the Solutions page

After careful research and consideration, version 11 of the CDMCCS.com website might be missing some items from previous versions. These are:

Software -

While good for their day, the Page Content Management System (pCMS) has rendered a lot of software packages obsolete. Others were simply not productive and, therefore are being removed from consideration. The following are no longer available for installation:

  • ListMaster - Maintained any type of "list" on a website from links to Calendar of events *

  • Page Comments - Get visitor comments from any page on a website.

  • Now Appearing - A dedicated calendar function*

  • Printer Friendly/Email Delivery - Print the contents of a page, along with sending an email reference to a page to a friend.

  • Pick 'n Click - A fast visitor satisfaction indicator system install on a web page.

  • The Article Genie v 3.x and earlier - Originally a PC program that interacted with a website. Has now been replaced by a new online version that is described through the link above. *

  • Total Time - Display either the current server time or time last date/time a web page component was updated. Now provided as a free product to download from this site by clicking here. No support whatsoever is provided. Perl/CGI.

* Fell victim to pCMS

Free Stuff -

Sometimes, things get to be more trouble to maintain than they are worth. The original Free Stuff section of this website has been removed.

This means that articles covering such topics as:

  • Windows 2000/XP built-in (and hidden) FTP process
  • Automated Copyright Updates
  • How to add an icon to a link in web browsers
  • Ongoing website maintenance
  • When website things don't work...
  • How to resize images with MS Paint for website use
  • Creating PDF files for less than $10 (or free) and without Adobe Acrobat
  • Minimizing 'prying eyes' into folders you don't want visitors looking into web folders -

Are either no longer available or have been distributed to other areas of this website.

Resources (folder)

About 3 years ago, there was a folder on this site named: Resource, containing  PC related information (such as how to correct an RPC Stub error, setting up ASP to run on IIS servers and similar information).

Due a shift in focus from PC internal support to Internet work, that section has been long since been dropped, but may still have links to it from other listing services, such as forums.

These invalid links are beyond our control.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and if there is something listed on this page that "you can't live without," please Contact Us; we might be able to dreg up the information from our files on a time-available basis.
